Believe Everyday
I enjoy quotes. They will often spring me into action and motivate me. Two of my favorite motivational speakers were Dr. Wayne Dyer and Mr. James Rohn.
Wayne Dyer wrote a book with the title of the words of one of my favorite quotes. “You’ll see it when you believe it.” Dr. Dyer spoke about the concept that if your mindset is where you can take truths on faith rather than having visual evidence, you will see the results you want in your life.
He also stated that when you believe in something strongly enough, your belief can bring it into existence. Its appearance is greatly affected by your belief in the thing. If you only believe in things you can see, you’d never need to pay your electric bill. Electricity is invisible.
I remember when I worked in the banking business, people would come in feeling angry and take that anger out on a member of the bank staff. The staff members would excuse themselves and come and get me. They had learned over time, that I didn’t believe in losing my temper in these situations.
When I approached the angry person, I would make a conscious decision not to engage with them angrily. I would ask the person what they were upset about and then I would listen. Often, I would thank them for the information. I looked at this information as a gift. Many times, we were able to make a subtle change that turned this customer into a satisfied person and often into a satisfied customer.
“You’ll See It When You Believe It” may inspire you to work toward becoming your best self by showing you the power of belief. An important area to believe in is yourself. If you don’t believe in your ability to succeed and accomplish great things, very few others will believe in you.
Jim Rohn believed that “Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day”. I feel that these two quotes go hand in hand. The decision to choose to believe in your success gives you the strength to continue to practice these simple disciplines every day.
Both of these gentlemen encouraged us to go beyond the limitations presented by form. Who you are and what you become comes from your power to make choices and decisions about how you think which leads to how you feel about challenging yourself. If we choose to awaken our inner selves and step out of our comfort zones we can experience the adventure that life has to offer.
These concepts may feel a bit radical. We have often been trained to limit our range of experience. To stay comfortable with the trappings we’ve become used to. Through belief, we can make our lives anything we want them to be.
