Dawn of a New Dream

Sunrise.
It’s the beginning of a new day—a fresh start after a time of rest. Today is the first day of spring, March 20, 2025, and it feels like the dawn of a new chapter in my life.
After a long season of darkness and sleep.
(Okay… that sounds a little grim. But it’s true.)

You see, I was a teacher for 30 years. I loved that career. It was fun, it fit my personality, and I was good at it. But deep down, I knew it only fed part of my soul. The rigid schedules, the endless administrative tasks, and the daily energy it demanded often left me feeling depleted.

Limited.

I dabbled in creative ventures—some fizzled, some never quite blossomed into something that could replace the income I needed to leave education behind.

But now… now it feels different.

A new dawn is breaking.

Two years ago, I became a certified Life Coach. At first, I was dabbling again—experimenting with the skills I’d learned, but not fully stepping into them. Until recently.
Now it feels like the night is ending, and the sky is brightening in the east.

Two months ago, I hired my own life coach again. I made a commitment to her—and to myself—to finally move toward the life I’ve dreamed about for so long. Dabbling wasn’t getting me anywhere.
But action was.

Since then, I’ve shown up for myself. I’ve taken steps every single day to get my coaching business off the ground. And it’s working! (Follow me on social media channels under Lisa Hoffman Coaching.)

Like the dawn, I’m emerging from what felt like a long sleep into a time that’s alive with possibility. I’m using my creativity. I’m learning and growing. And people are excited to work with me.

This is the dawn of a new dream.
And it’s just getting started.
