Another favorite would have to be the brown/tan/black quilt I made for Bradley. He is my sentimental guy and he was going to college. I took the comforter that I had used when I went to college and simply made a new top side for it. The top side was sewn to the comforter and then tied. I believe if you take the new top side off, my original college cover is still there. Brad’s quilt is one of the best ones I’ve done. I love the color scheme.
I’m the kind of person who looks at the chaos of the holiday season and says, “You know what this needs? More crafts!” Since I’ve been DIY-ing Christmas magic back in the 90s, I’ve found my specialty. Spending more on supplies than store-bought would ever cost, but loving every quirky, quilted, lace-trimmed, or clay-sculpted outcome.
From stockings to sentimental quilts to nativity scenes that could make a museum jealous, my house is basically Santa’s crafty workshop. Sure, December is wild, but if I’m not up to my elbows in glitter and glue by the end of it, did Christmas even happen?
