Why Mess with Perfection
After taking a test on https://www.idrlabs.com it is confirmed that:
I feel contentment most of the time. By this I mean I have done pretty much what I have set out to do in my life.
- I wanted to get married to a wonderful person and have children. Done
- I wanted a career that I enjoyed and felt I was doing something important fulfilling and rewarding. Done
- I wanted to be able to have a lovely home. Done
- I always dreamt of owning a shack in the woods on Lake Michigan. Done
- I always wanted two dogs of the same breed. Done
- I always wanted wonderful grandchildren. Done
- I have always wanted my family to be close to me. Done
Now, I must explain this Pollyanna writing of contentment. There have been glitches along the way. For example, I have always wanted to have three children. I had two. I always wanted a house on the lake. I got a cabin on a big lake many years later. I have always wanted to have two dogs of the same breed. It took having four dogs to finally have my matching pair. The big one: I always wanted to be independently wealthy. This would not be having to leave for work every day, but I would still have that feeling of accomplishment, self-worth, fulfillment, and, of course, lots and lots of money!
As it is I am content with my choices and my life. Sure, there could be changes, but why mess with perfection? (tongue in cheek)
