Eclectic Musical Taste
I have an incredibly diverse taste in music. It ranges from country to Top 40 to classic rock to music from the 70’s. I’ve even been known to listen to polka and bluegrass on occasion. My only criterion for a good song is that it needs to have a good beat. I’m not a fan of slow songs. It has to be something you can tap your toes to.
Some of my favorite songs would include:
Rush – Permanent Waves – The Sound of Music
This music takes me back to when Lisa and I lived at home. Lisa had this album and would play it on her stereo system. I loved to listen to it over and over. Hearing these songs again, I remember wanting to be just like Lisa.
Muse – Will of the People – Supermassive Black Hole
This one is a more recent favorite. The first time I heard this song was in the movie Twilight. I love the rhythm of it. Actually, anything by Muse is a favorite.
Disturbed – The Sickness – Down with the Sickness
Now this one takes me back to the hours and hours I would spend with Bradley as he did his math homework. We would listen to this song on repeat! Again, the pounding rhythm is what I love about this song.
Queen – A Night at the Opera – Bohemian Rhapsody
This one is a classic. I can’t remember when I first heard it, but I never get tired of hearing it. I love to imitate the instrumental sections and I know the words by heart.
Charlie Daniels Band – Million Mile Reflections – The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Again, I don’t remember when I first heard this one, but it’s on my playlist and whenever it comes on, I can’t help but stop doing what I’m doing and sing and dance along to this song.
As you can see, I like all kinds of music. I don’t limit myself to only one genre. As long as there is a good beat, you see me dancing and singing along.
