Don’t Waste Today

Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life:

I like this quote because we can’t go back to yesterday and need inspiration for tomorrow.  So, the quote, “Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life” represents to me that we should leave yesterday behind and work on tomorrow, making it the best we can.

Sometimes I tend to constantly look back and ponder on past mistakes.  Now I realize that I can’t change what has been done, so this quote gives me the insight to go forward.  Leave the past behind, but I hope that what has been done in the past can be used as a lesson.

This quote can also help me to do or learn something instead of procrastinating and doing what has not been done. One such example is I would love to learn to play the piano.  (What’s stopping me?)  Making use of our tomorrows is extremely important, especially at my age.  There might not be a lot of opportunities to fulfill those “I wants”.  

Sometimes, all we want in life is someone to remind us that good days are ahead and everything is possible if we set our mind to it.

Don’t blow it.
