Testing Karma
Karma refers to the principle of cause and effect, where actions have consequences, and positive actions lead to positive outcomes, while negative actions lead to negative outcomes. Examples include a person who helps others often experiencing more luck and good fortune in their life, or someone who consistently yells at others may find themselves in situations where others are unkind to them.
When I was newly married, I embarked on a noble quest: to manipulate karma through unsolicited sidewalk therapy. Each morning, armed with a smile and the naivety of youth, I’d stroll to work, targeting unsuspecting pedestrians with my beam of positivity. If I managed to coax a grin from a grump, I considered it a karmic deposit. But if my cheerful assault turned a happy soul into a frowner, I feared I’d triggered a cosmic overdraft. It was a risky game of emotional roulette, but someone had to play it.
Can anyone use Karma on any given day? Of course. If you start your day with a smile and a good attitude, your karma has a better chance of being positive. And. of course, the result, if you get up and say it is a shitty day, and act accordingly, your Karma most likely will be negative.
I had a sister who died at an early age. This set my Karma on a negative, sad, and helpless road. I had to work to change my thinking and set my Karma in a positive pattern to make my life happy and successful.
I have a grandson who decides before he gets up in the morning, setting his Karma for being in a good mood. It works. Here is to a positive Karma for the future.
